What is included in an AMAZIR tourist excursion?
+
A private vehicle for your party, a professional English- and French-speaking driver, pickup and return at your hotel or riad, route planning, waiting time at every stop, fuel, tolls, parking and bottled water — for one fixed price per vehicle. Entrance fees, meals, activities and guiding are not included.
Is a guide included with the excursion?
+
No. Our drivers are professional drivers with strong local knowledge, but Moroccan law reserves guiding inside monuments and medinas for licensed guides. We can add a licensed national or regional guide on request, quoted separately.
Can we choose our own stops and change them during the day?
+
Yes. The vehicle and driver are yours for the excursion, so you can linger at a viewpoint, add a cooperative or market stop, or reverse the order of visits. Anything that adds significant distance or hours is agreed with the driver so the price stays clear.
Which excursions can we do in one day from Marrakech?
+
Comfortably: Ourika or Imlil in the Atlas, Agafay at sunset, Essaouira on the coast, Ouzoud waterfalls, and Aït Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate over the Tizi n'Tichka. Merzouga and Erg Chigaga are too far for one day and are better as two- or three-day programmes.
Do you pick up from riads inside the medina?
+
Yes. Vehicles cannot enter medina lanes, so we meet you at the nearest permitted vehicle access gate and agree the exact point with your riad in advance so there is no confusion in the morning.
Do we need a 4x4 for the desert or the mountains?
+
Not for surfaced routes such as Ourika, Essaouira, Ouzoud or Aït Ben Haddou. A 4x4 is recommended for dune access at Merzouga and Erg Chigaga, for gorge pistes and for unsurfaced valley tracks, and we say so in the quotation.
Are excursions suitable for families with children or older travellers?
+
Yes. We plan shorter driving legs, extra comfort stops and realistic pacing, provide child and booster seats on request, and choose vehicles with easy access when mobility is limited.
What time do excursions start and how long do they last?
+
Mountain and coastal full days usually leave between 8am and 9am and return late afternoon or early evening. Half days run about 4 to 5 hours, and desert sunset excursions leave in the afternoon. We confirm exact times with your itinerary.
How much does a tourist excursion in Morocco cost?
+
It depends on the route and distance, the vehicle size, the duration and the season, plus extras such as a 4x4 or a licensed guide. Request a quote with your city, date and party size and you receive one fixed all-inclusive price per vehicle.
Can you combine several excursions into a multi-day programme?
+
Yes. Many guests link the Atlas, Ouarzazate, the gorges and the desert into a two- to five-day route with the same driver and vehicle throughout, with hotels and camps booked by you or arranged through your agency.
